Friday, March 27th.

Kristee and Lacee came to spend the weekend. Heres a picture of us having a PJ party in my bed! Of course their cell phones for texting were not far away! LOL
Oh, and the quilt on the bed was a grand idea I had to start Quilting and believe me, you have to be a special person to have the time and pacience to make these. It took me well over a year to make this one (oversized to fit my King sized bed) and 3000 dollars to buy the sewing machine to do it! After I finished this one, I learned quick, I am not a Quilter! Never again.

Thursday, March 26th.

Thought today I would share a picture of all the Kit of the Month club boxes, still full with the kits I have not gotten done yet! Yikes, I really need to get these done, and this is not all of them, still many more that would not stack up there.
They are from all different KOTM clubs I previously belonged to and just had to quit the clubs as I was falling so far behind in getting them done.

Wednesday, March 25th.

Kyree got to meet in person her favorite person in the whole world!
Elmo was live and in person at the Big Boy restaurant tonight and her Grandma Robin and friends took her for dinner to see him. Grandma says she had to pry her away from him! LOL

Tuesday, March 24th.

Had Kyree for the day today while Ashley went to the Doctor in Detroit. Just after Kyree was born, I was garage saleing and found a wonderful homemade antique dress and just had to have it for Kyree. Well she has finally grown into it and just had to take a picture of her in it. Of course its impossible to keep her in one spot for more that a couple of seconds, and it you look close you will see when old meets new! (Stripped leggings and tennis shoes with the antique dress).

Monday, March 23rd.

Got the Amanda Blu 5 dollar deals from HSN today. Wow what a deal, they are wonderful! The paper is wonderful, love the embellies the best, and the album is great.

Sunday, March 22nd.

OMG, I got a new toy for my kitchen this week, and I love it!
Check out the color! Its orange! Its Kitchenaid! And it tilts up! I had one before, that I sold because it would not tip up and I hated it. This is the one I have been wanting for ages and it went on easy pay on QVC and it just yelled out to me!

Saturday, March 21st.

Went power shoppng with Robin today! Hit Hobby Lobby and got the bag and 12x12 glass mat for my Slice machine(on sale, 30% off).
Then went to Walmart to see if they had any good deals on Cricut goodies, but not a thing on markdown. From there off to Target to pick up the new DVD movie Twilight and check out the scrap goodies there, but found nothing. Was getting hungry and spotted a sale sign for "CC's" and neither of us had ever been there, so we stopped for lunch and it was wonderful! Robin was sooo hooked on the fresh hot cinnamon rolls and I love the salad, all so fresh, and of course the pizza was good, although I have never had Mac and Cheese pizza before!

Friday, March 20th.

Hubby got a new haircut today! Wow did he ever. He has been having trouble reaching the back of his hair to comb because his Arthritis is getting so bad, so he decided to cut it all off! Yikes he sure looks different.

Thursday, March 19th.

Ashley's 22nd. Birthday today. We went over to Robin's and had dinner(homemade Lasagna) and Birthday Cake with Ashley and Trevor and Kyree. The rest of the gang were busy and did not join us.

Tuesday, March 17th.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Happy Anniversary to Hubby and Me! Number 10!
Went to Olive Garden for dinner and it was wonderful!
And believe it or not it was 66 degrees out today! Ahhh, Spring is in the air!
And boy oh boy, did I ever go crazy on HSN(Home Shopping network) with the great 5 dollar sale! LOL

Monday, March 16th.

Steven stopped over and helped us tear up the old carpet in the spare room. Boy were there ever a bunch of staples! Thank God for grandkids!

Sunday, March 15th.

Spent the day packing up Kristee's stuff to move to her mothers. Yikes what a job! Wow the room is pretty empty! Going to take up the carpet and have the hardwood floor refinished like the rest of the house.

Saturday, March 14th.

Bright and sunny out today, going into the 40's.
Sharing a picture of the actual 365 kit out of the box.

Friday, March 13th.

Yikes, another Friday the 13th.! Second one this year and there is going to be one more yet this year in November.
Well they finally got the barge "Gotham", owned by Scott Patterson, whom I have known for years through work at PHMS, lifted (sank)from the Black River. Brought in a huge barge with a huge crain on it to lift it out. The Gotham is a 68 footer and we have not seen a boat sink around here in quite some time, so there were lots of onlookers.
Still no idea what caused it to sink. Oh, and again, Picture was taken across the street from our house.

Thursday, March 12th.

Well today I received my free Fiskateers scissors and they are wonderful. If you look close they have my member number imprinted on them. Pretty cool.
Today marks the end of our way of life here as we know it. Kristee has decided it was time to live with her mother, so off she went. Its sure going to be quiet around here with her gone and I will miss her terribly, but it was time as she has been here 3 years. I am now going to concentrate on being grandma to her instead of her mom.
Also, its the first time in years it will be just me and DH here and we are both retired now! Wow, Robin already wants to know when I'm going back to work! Yikes, Not! LOL Just think, no alarms, no fighting with a teenager, no messes left in the bathroom after her and her friends have a makeup night, no yelling to get her room cleaned up, fighting to get her out of bed in the morning for school, doing homework, running back and forth to the school several times a week for her extra ciricular activities. Wow my life!

Wednesday, March 11th.

WooHoo! Its here! It finally arrived! The Creating Keepsakes Becky Higgins Project 365 Kit of the Month! Never thought I would ever get it, as it was sold out the first couple of hours of ordering and I was put on the waitlist on New Years Day.
Which is the main reason I started this blog. Now my dilemma is do I want to use the kit or sell it on eBay. The kit price was 45 dollars and some change including shipping and its selling right now on eBay for over 150 dollars! Wowzza! That's a big profit. Have not opened it yet, but its really calling me to! Wants to get out of that box. LOL

Monday, March. 9th.

Well there never being a dull moment around here-this is a picture of what happen tonight across the street from our house. This is an 68 foot barge, used locally for helping keep the rivers clean of debris around here for the last couple of years, and for some reason it just sank into the Black River! Coast Guard and everybody was out there! It is leaking about 500 gallons of Gas and other waste into the water(hence Coast Guard) It has been docked there for the winter. If you look up at the top of the picture, you will see the back of the building that I worked in for the last 15 years,(Mercury Marine Repair Shop(Port Huron Marine Service) before I got laid-off 1.5 years ago.
Those steel rails are the beginning of boat houses that are being built there, owned by Port Huron Marine Service. This all happened after dark, so had to wait until next morning to get the pictures(Robin took them).

Tuesday March 10th.

Today I'm sharing a picture of my oldest Grandaughter, Ashley-22 this month, and her daugher, Kyree Lynn-2(our first great grandchild). Doesn't Ashley look wonderful in her new glasses!

Sunday, March 8th.

Well, now that I know I am for sure getting the real Becky Higgins(Creative Keepsakes) 365 scrapbook kit, I am now going to start printing all the pictures I have taken over the last couple of months to get them ready to put into my book.
Well I have been busy organizing my scraproom again so I have room to do some scraping and thought I would share a picture of it when you can see the craft table top! This is only half of it, when I get the other half cleaned off I will post full pictures. The half with my computer and printer, tv, etc. is still piled, plus the other side of the room has two huge cabinets that are full! OMG, I really need to stop collecting and start using more!

Well got a surprise visit today-DH's nephew, Mike, from California was here in Port Huron, and came over for a visit with DH's sister, Phyllis from Vanderbuilt, Mi. and his sister, Mary(lives here,Mike's mom) all came over for a nice visit. Mike is now test piloting Chinock Helicopters in Pennsylvania. He piloted many Chinock's over to Iran several times, then retired about two years ago and is now a private citizen.
Well after our wonderful sunny and warm weather yesterday, today it has rained all day and is in the low 40's.
I have spent most of the day, shopping online in a special shopping extraganza, http://flowerstoflourishes.com/ where you paid 10 dollars for shipping and signed up a few days ago, and every couple of hours a new deal is posted and you hope you jumped in fast enough to get it! Been fun, but a lot of just waiting around for the next deal to pop up.

Friday March 6th.

Just wanted to share a new Picture of Steven(my oldest grandson,19.5) and Kimmi! Don't they make the cutest couple! Love them both!
Oh and its 65 degrees outside and the snow is all gone! WooHoo!
And I also received a confirmation email with a tracking number that I am finally going to get the actual Becky Higgins 365 kit! WooHoo again!

Thursday March 5th.

Today I want to intoduce you to Tomi. He is our male Yorkie and is 7 and weighs 5 pounds. He is our yapper. He gets up on the back of the chair and anyone going by the house sets him off to yapping. If I pick up my purse for any reason, he starts to yapping! If someone comes in the house and does not pet him immediately, he starts yapping! Don't even think about coming near my bed when I'm in it, cause he starts yapping! He is the sweetest little guy you could ever meet, but there are days with his yapping, I'd like to put a mussel on him!!

Wednesday, March 4th.

Today I am sharing my newest toy, The Ultimate crafter's Companion. I saw this on HSN and it looked soooo cool, so I just had to have it to play with.

Tuesday, March 3rd.

Tuesday, March 3rd.-
Well here is a picture of the pots and pans we replaced with the new ones I showed you a couple of days ago. Gosh am I glad to see them gone!

Monday, March 2, 2009

Monday, March 2nd.

WooHoo! Yippie! Can't believe it! Today we made the final installment on Kristee's school band trip to Chicago next month! Who would have thought, payments for a 3 day band trip 6 hours away! The price on this trip is just under $800.00! Yes folks that is Eight hundred! Plus she will still need a couple of hundred to take with her for incidentals! Well here's a picture of the final payment receipt! Phew, I'm glad we have that paid.

Sunday, March 1st.

Thank the Lord its March and winter is almost over! Boy its been a long winter here with lots of cold and snowy weather.
Anywho, today's picture is of Kristee's new tennies. Aren't they the cutest things!
Oh and be sure and check out her socks! She is all ready for St. Paddy's day.

Saturday, February 28th.

Well its the end of February! Woohoo! Spring is not to far off, which means the end of the snow!
Today's picture is of the Blue Water Bridges(there are two bridges beside each other, each a one-way) taken along the Thomas Edison Parkway in Port Huron. When looking at the picture, the left side is Michigan, USA, and the right side is Sarnia, Canada. Two waterways meet here, south of the bridge is St. Clair River and north of the bridge is Lake Huron(one of the Great Lakes).
This is about 2 miles from our house.

Friday, Feburary 27th.

Today I want to talk about what we have very little these days! And I know I'm not alone! What a sad state our country is in right now. Lets all pray for each other that we come out of this a better person and country.

Thursday, Feburary 26th.

Well my new addiction is this Wii game! OMG, I was so addicted to the first one and they had to go and make a new one for the Wii! I love this game. If you do any of the role playing games and just want to have some light hearted fun, try this one out.
I find myself laughing at least once a day when the animal people talk. You just never know what they are going to say! One of my critters was walking the other day and fell into a pithole and yelled "OMG, I'm so big I'm falling through the earth".
I almost fell off the chair from laughing so hard!
Also purchased the Wii Speak and can talk(actually real talk) to any character that comes to visit my town or my character goes to visit someone else's town anywhere in the world that also has the Wii speak and Wifi.

Wednesday, Feburary 25th.

This is what I learned how to do today-use my Laptop build-in webcam. Its really kinda cool and handy to have. Also set up and had a web chat with Robin-which I thought was really cool!

Tuesday, Feb. 24th.-
Ah, Fat Tuesday! Gotta love those Paczkis! Today Kyree came to visit with Great Grandma and had her Paczkis with us! By the look of her face, I would say she loved it!

Monday, Feb. 23rd.-
Well I thought I would share a picture of a typical week in the life of my craft room desk and craft table. Its no wonder I don't get much scrapping done these days, I can't find the table or my desk and by the time I get them cleaned off, the day is over and I don't feel like playing any longer!
